TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY AND BRIDGEPORT CITY LEADERS DISCUSS CRIME REDUCTION EFFORTS

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference with officials from the City of Bridgeport to provide an update on recent efforts to reduce violence in the city, including the allocation of Youth Violence Prevention grants and the state's active participation in Project Longevity - a comprehensive initiative of federal, state and local law enforcement officials who partner with local community members to reduce gun violence in major cities. The Governor will be joined at the event by Mayor Bill Finch, Assistant Chief of Police James Nardozzi, and other state, federal and local officials and community members.
