WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY SIGNS LEGISLATION INCREASING STANDARDS FOR THE CARE OF ANIMALS AT PET SHOPS

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a bill signing ceremony in Greenwich to commemorate a new law that will increase standards for Connecticut retail pet shops and breeders to ensure that animals are treated humanely. He will be joined by state lawmakers and advocates. The legislation is Public Act 14-77 , An Act Concerning Certain Recommendations of the Task Force on the Sale of Cats and Dogs from Inhumane Origins at Connecticut Pet Shops .
