SATURDAY: GOV. MALLOY ATTENDS EVENTS IN CROMWELL, EAST HARTFORD, HARTFORD, STRATFORD, AND WATERBURY

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Saturday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will speak at the opening ceremony of Downtown Hartford YMCA's Mission in Motion Cycle-a-thon, which benefits the YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign.

Later, Governor Malloy will speak at the National Guard Association of Connecticut's 20th Annual Conference and Awards ceremony in Cromwell.

In the evening, Governor Malloy will speak at an event in Waterbury celebrating the 100th anniversary of Crystal Rock - a water, coffee and office supplies company that was founded in 1914 in Stamford and is currently headquartered in Watertown.

Following that, Governor Malloy will speak at a fundraiser in Stratford benefitting a new renovation of the Connecticut Burn Center, which is being hosted by Bridgeport Firefighters Local 834 and Bridgeport Hospital.

Later, Governor Malloy will speak at Voices of Women of Color's 2nd Annual Trailblazers Awards Ceremony.

Finally, Governor Malloy will speak at the East Hartford Mayor's Charity Ball at Rentschler Field - a biennial event bringing people together to celebrate the successes of the East Hartford community and raise funds for a nonprofit organization selected by the hosting mayor. This year's event will benefit East Hartford Interfaith Ministries, Friends of the East Hartford Senior Centers, the East Hartford YMCA, Friends of East Hartford Libraries, Friends of Center Cemetery, and the March of Dimes.
