GOV. MALLOY CAUTIONS RESIDENTS ABOUT POTENTIAL FLOODING
Flood Warnings and Advisories Remain in Effect for the Most of the State through Tomorrow
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today cautioned residents about possible flooding with additional rainfall forecasted for this evening.

"If you live in a low-lying, flood prone area, please stay alert to changing weather conditions and if you plan on traveling today or tonight, please use caution and do not attempt to drive through standing water," said Governor Malloy.

The current forecast is calling for the next round of precipitation to begin between 4pm and 6pm this evening with moderate rain resuming later tonight and through the overnight hours. With this additional rainfall, rivers and streams may not fully recede until late Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.

The Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS) will continue to monitor conditions across the state and coordinate assistance if needed.
