GOV. MALLOY REMINDS RESIDENTS OF IMPENDING DEADLINE TO SUBMIT COMMENTS FOR STATE REGULATIONS REVIEW PERIOD
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today reminded Connecticut residents that they have until December 16 to submit comments to his office regarding state agency regulations they believe are obsolete, duplicative, excessively burdensome, or otherwise ineffective or unnecessary. The Governor announced the launch of a two-month review period in October, with the goal of making Connecticut's regulations more streamlined, readable and user-friendly for all citizens, and especially small businesses.
"Engaging the public in a conversation about state regulations is an important component in our efforts to make state government more efficient, more transparent and more responsive to Connecticut citizens and businesses," Governor Malloy said.
The public can submit comments to the Governor's Office by email to governor.regulations@ct.gov or through a web form at www.governor.ct.gov/regulations.
A searchable database of all current state agency regulations can be found online at www.ct.gov/eregulations .
