GOV. MALLOY APPLAUDS SENATOR BYE'S APPOINTMENT AS APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE CHAIR

(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today released the following statement in response to Senate President Donald E. Williams Jr.'s appointment of Senator Beth Bye (D-West Hartford) as Senate Chair of the General Assembly's Appropriations Committee.

"I want to commend Senator Williams on his selection of Senator Bye to chair the Appropriations Committee. I have an immense amount of respect for the knowledge and passion with which Beth carries out her work in the Senate - a respect I know many of her colleagues in the General Assembly also share. Beth is a great choice to co-chair this important committee and I look forward to continuing our work together."
