TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY ATTENDS HOUSING GROUNDBREAKING IN NEW HAVEN; HOSTS STATE'S OFFICIAL 9/11 MEMORIAL CEREMONY

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join Mayor John DeStefano, Jr. and the Forest City Residential Group for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Winchester Lofts - a residential, mixed-income housing project in New Haven at the site of the historic, former Winchester Repeating Arms Company. When completed, the site will offer 158 mixed-income apartments.

In the evening, Governor Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will host the State of Connecticut's 12th annual memorial ceremony honoring and celebrating the lives of those killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The ceremony, held at the state's September 11 memorial at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, will be attended by family members of those who lost their lives in the attacks, and the names of the 161 victims with ties to Connecticut will be read aloud.
