GOV. MALLOY STATEMENT ON THE ELECTION OF LORI J. PELLETIER TO LEAD THE CONNECTICUT AFL-CIO

(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today released the following statement applauding the election of Lori J. Pelletier to serve as the Connecticut AFL-CIO's principal officer overseeing day-to-day operations.

"Lori Pelletier is an excellent choice to lead Connecticut's AFL-CIO, and her selection is indicative of the new direction and face of the U.S. organized labor movement. Including the voice of front-line workers is so important as we shape Connecticut's economy, government, and communities for the future.
