FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN ANNUAL CREC MEETING; SPEAKS AT FUNDRAISER FOR FAMILIES OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS LOST IN THE LINE OF DUTY

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will make welcoming remarks at the Capitol Region Education Council's 47th annual FallStaff - an all-staff recognition event attended by the organization's nearly 2,000 employees to kick-off the new school year.

Following that, Governor Malloy will make remarks at an event held by Ride4Cops - a fundraising effort that raises money and awareness for survivors of law enforcement officers lost in the line of duty. During the event, the fund will present donations to the Connecticut chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), which provides support to families and survivors. The event is the Connecticut leg of the Ride4Cops Foundation's 50-state motorcycle run.
