TODAY: GOV. MALLOY & NTSB OFFICIALS UPDATE MEDIA ON TRAIN COLLISION
(HARTFORD, CT) - This morning around 9:30 a.m., representatives from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are anticipated to arrive in Bridgeport at the site of Friday evening's Metro-North train collision, where they will meet with Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Senator Richard Blumenthal, Senator Chris Murphy, and other state officials. Shortly after conducting a brief survey of the area, they will hold a news briefing to update the media with the latest available details.
[Please note that the status of Governor Malloy's previously announced public appearances on Saturday at the AFT Convention in Southington and the Shad Derby Parade in Windsor are pending based on the length of time spent at the site of the train collision.]
