FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN CONGRESSIONAL GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION TASK FORCE HEARING; MAKES HOUSING ANNOUNCEMENT

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in a field hearing of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, which is being hosted in Hartford by Congressman John B. Larson and will be attended by the group's chairman, Congressman Mike Thompson of California. Also in attendance will be Harford Mayor Pedro E. Segarra, various state and local officials, and experts on gun violence prevention.

Later, Governor Malloy will hold a news conference in Waterbury to announce the release of state funding for several affordable housing projects throughout Connecticut. He will be joined by Department of Housing Commissioner Evonne Klein and Waterbury Mayor Neil O'Leary.
