WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY MAKES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ANNOUNCEMENT IN DANBURY; ATTENDS ADDITIONAL EVENTS IN HARTFORD & NEW HAVEN

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give brief welcoming remarks at the Capitol Region Education Council's "School Safety: It's Everybody's Business" conference in Hartford. The conference, which is open to the public, is designed to facilitate conversations on improving school climate and security.

Later, Governor Malloy will give brief remarks at a news conference hosted by the Connecticut State Golf Association highlighting the economic impact of the golf industry in Connecticut.

At noon, Governor Malloy will join a coalition of clergy at a rally on the north steps of the State Capitol in support of increasing the minimum wage.

Following that, Governor Malloy will hold a news conference in Danbury, where he will make an economic development announcement.

In the evening, Governor Malloy will join members of the Connecticut AFL-CIO at a march and rally in New Haven commemorating May Day.

Finally, Governor Malloy will give brief remarks at the Connecticut Bar Foundation's 60th Anniversary Celebration in Hartford.
