GOV. MALLOY & LT. GOV. WYMAN STATEMENTS ON THE PASSING OF WOODBRIDGE FIRST SELECTMAN SHEEHY
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman today released the following statements on the passing of Woodbridge First Selectman Edward Maum Sheehy:
"Ed truly loved the Town of Woodbridge and its people, many of whom he became close friends with over the years and whose lives he touched in so many ways," Governor Malloy said. "Through his work as a civic leader, he dedicated himself to improving his community. His sudden passing comes with great sadness, and my condolences go out to his wife, Eleanor, and the rest of his family and friends."
"Although he was taken from us much too soon, Ed had accomplished an enormous amount for his beloved Town of Woodbridge and was an example of what it means to be a true community leader," Lt. Governor Wyman said. "I hope that brings some comfort to his family, friends and those he served with such dignity and dedication."
