GOV. MALLOY: SANDY HOOK ADVISORY COMMISSION MEETING RESCHEDULED DUE TO WEATHER
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced the meeting of the Sandy Hook Advisory Commission
previously scheduled for Friday, February 8
, has been postponed due to the pending snowstorm. The meeting will be rescheduled to Friday, February 15 at 9:30 a.m. in Room 2C of the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.
At the meeting, the commission will hear testimony from experts in the field of infrastructure design, safety and security, including architects, a retired FBI agent, and school safety and disaster management professionals.
The Sandy Hook Advisory Commission is a 16-member panel of experts created by Governor Malloy and chaired by Hamden Mayor Scott Jackson, charged with reviewing current policy and making specific recommendations in the areas of public safety, with particular attention paid to school safety, mental health, and gun violence prevention.
