FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY VISITS SCHOOL IN HARTFORD THAT'S MAKING BIG STRIDES IN EARLY CHILDHOOD LITERACY

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will visit Betances Early Reading Lab School in Hartford for an opportunity to tour the classrooms and meet with administrators and teachers to discuss advances the school has been making to improve early childhood literacy. In the past few years, the school, which has students in kindergarten through grade three, has seen major advancements in student reading. Early childhood literacy was a significant component of the education reform package that Governor Malloy signed into law last year.
