THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN JACKSON LABORATORY GROUNDBREAKING AND MAKES MAJOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ANNOUNCEMENT; ATTENDS WITHERELL NURSING HOME GROUNDBREAKING; SPEAKS AT CONN. ANTI-DEFAMATION LEAGUE CEREMONY

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will join University of Connecticut President Susan Herbst, University of Connecticut School of Medicine Executive Vice President for Health Affairs and Dean Frank Torti, and Jackson Laboratory President and CEO Edison Liu at a groundbreaking ceremony for the Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine's new facility on the campus of the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington. During the ceremony, Governor Malloy will make a major economic development announcement.

Later, Governor Malloy will participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Nathaniel Witherell Nursing Home in Greenwich.

In the evening, Governor Malloy will give remarks at the Connecticut Anti-Defamation League's Daniel R. Ginsberg Humanitarian Award Reception in Stamford.
