TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY SPEAKS AT EVENT ON FINANCING PUBLIC SERVICES; VISITS NEW LONDON, EAST HARTFORD, MERIDEN SCHOOLS TO DISCUSS EXPANSION OF LEARNING TIME

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give opening remarks at the "Innovations in Financing Public Services" conference in Hartford.

Later, Governor Malloy will visit schools in the New London, East Hartford and Meriden school districts to highlight the major new effort announced on Monday that will add significantly more time to the school year for students in those school districts. Each of the three visits will begin with a roundtable discussion with school administrators and program teachers, followed by a tour of the school, and then will conclude with a media availability.
