FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN CEREMONY HONORING MEMORY OF TROOPER KENNETH HALL IN MIDDLETOWN; WELCOMES RESIDENTS TO HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE AT GOVERNOR'S RESIDENCE
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will join other state and local officials and residents at a ceremony dedicating a plaque at the rest stop and weigh station off I-91 north in Middletown to the memory of Trooper First Class Kenneth Hall, a 22-year veteran of the Connecticut State Police who died in the line of duty in September 2010 when a truck hit his patrol car while he was taking enforcement action on the side of the road.
Later, Governor Malloy will greet visitors attending the
annual holiday open house at the Governor's Residence
in Hartford. The three-day open house begins Friday and runs through Sunday.
