TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY JOINS ATTORNEY GENERAL ERIC HOLDER & U.S. ATTORNEY DAVID FEIN TO ANNOUNCE ANTI-GUN VIOLENCE INITIATIVE; HOLDS NEWS CONFERENCE WITH FEMA ADMINISTRATOR CRAIG FUGATE
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join United States Attorney General Eric Holder and U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut David Fein for a news conference to announce a comprehensive initiative to reduce gun violence in Connecticut's major cities. Members of law enforcement, elected officials, social service providers, community leaders and academic researchers will also attend.
In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will join Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Craig Fugate for a news conference in Bridgeport to discuss Connecticut's recovery efforts from Storm Sandy. Administrator Fugate will be in Connecticut throughout the day Tuesday viewing damaged areas along the shoreline.
