TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY ATTENDS NEWS CONFERENCE TO ANNOUNCE COLLABORATION BETWEEN GE & UCONN; MAKES ANNOUNCEMENTS ON EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT FUNDING IN PORTLAND, KILLINGWORTH, MADISON

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join officials from the University of Connecticut and General Electric in Plainville to announce the details of a five-year initiative that will reinvigorate the state's technology sector and spark breakthrough innovations in electrical distribution products.

In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will hold three separate news conferences in Portland, Killingworth and Madison to announce the release of state funding for each of the three towns that will allow them to increase their towns' emergency management efforts.
