STATEMENT OF GOV. MALLOY AND LT. GOV. WYMAN ON THE DEATH OF SHAUN CASHMAN

(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman today sent out the following statement on the passing of Shaun Cashman, Connecticut's Commissioner of Labor from 2001-2006:

"Our condolences go out to Shaun's family, friends, and colleagues. As Labor Commissioner, Shaun served Connecticut and our citizens with great integrity and dedication. He established himself as a strong and fair advocate for working people in Connecticut, and an important voice on the issues they faced. Shaun leaves a legacy of justice for our state's workforce, and his loss is felt by us all."
