THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY SPEAKS AT AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT MEETING

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give brief remarks at a meeting of the Governor's Council for Agricultural Development, the group responsible for advising the state Department of Agriculture on ways to increase consumer consumption of Connecticut-grown products. Last year, recognizing the importance of the agricultural industry in Connecticut, Governor Malloy led passage of legislation that bolstered the influence of the council.
