THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY TO COMMEMORATE STATE'S NEW NATURAL DISASTER & STORM RESPONSE LAWS

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a bill signing ceremony in West Hartford to commemorate the passage of Public Act 12-148, a new package of laws he introduced that enhances the ability of the state, municipalities and utility companies to better prepare for and respond to natural disasters and intense weather situations. The laws, combined with new administrative procedures the Governor implemented, improve operations in four individual policy areas: performance; management and communications; preparedness and training; and infrastructure strengthening.
