TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY TOURS CONN. FOOD BANK WAREHOUSE IN EAST HAVEN; PRESENTS COMMUNITY MEDIATION AWARD TO DCF COMMISSIONER JOETTE KATZ

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will visit the Connecticut Food Bank warehouse in East Haven for an opportunity to tour the facility and discuss the organization's needs with its staff and volunteers. Connecticut Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that works to distribute food and other resources to approximately 600 local emergency food assistance programs in six of Connecticut's eight counties.

In the evening, Governor Malloy will attend a ceremony hosted by Community Mediation in New Haven, where he will present Department of Children & Families (DCF) Commissioner Joette Katz with the organization's Honorable Robert C. Zampano Award for Excellence. The award recognizes and celebrates leadership, initiative and creativity in mediation in Connecticut.
