THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY SPEAKS AT BUSINESS CHAMPIONS AWARDS; KEYNOTES ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE; GIVES REMARKS AT ST. JOSEPH COLLEGE GALA

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give welcoming remarks at the MetroHartford Alliance's 2012 Business Champions Award Breakfast, where the achievements of the region's privately held companies will be honored.

In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will give the keynote address at the Environmental Council of the States' (ECOS) State Environmental Protection in 2012 (STEP 2012) conference. ECOS is a national nonprofit organization of state and territorial environmental commissioners whose mission is to improve the effectiveness of state agencies in protecting public and environmental health. Governor Malloy serves as Chairman of the National Governors Association's Natural Resources Committee.

In the evening, Governor Malloy will give welcoming remarks at the Saint Joseph College Annual Gala, where the university will celebrate women in the sciences and transition to their new name, the University of Saint Joseph.
