GOV. MALLOY AND LT. GOV. WYMAN STATEMENT ON DEATH OF LT. COL. THOMAS A. BUDREJKO
(Hartford, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman released the following statement regarding the death of Lieutenant Colonel Thomas A. Budrejko, a Marine who was killed on Wednesday night in a military helicopter training accident in the Arizona desert:
"The Budrejko family has our deepest sympathies during this difficult time," said Governor Malloy and Lt. Governor Wyman. "It is a terrible day when we lose a man who was so committed to serving his country, and we stand with his family and friends in grieving his loss. Our hearts go out to Lieutenant Colonel Budrejko's family, friends, and the other Marines, Soldiers, and Airmen with whom he served. "
Lt. Col. Budrejko served in the Marine's Helicopter Medium Light Attack Squadron 469 and was raised in Connecticut.
Flags will be lowered to half staff on the day of his burial in New Britain, CT. Details are forthcoming.
