TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY ATTENDS WATERSIDE SCHOOL CEREMONY; ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF STAMFORD INNOVATION CENTER

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will attend a ceremony celebrating the opening of the new location of Waterside School in Stamford. The private school, founded in 2001 to provide high-quality education to low-income students, serves over 100 students and is moving into its new facility, which has been financed completely through charitable contributions.

Continuing on his Jobs Tour, on Tuesday afternoon Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Department of Economic & Community Development Commissioner Catherine Smith will take part in a roundtable discussion with over 20 members of the local entrepreneurial community on the importance of creating an innovation economy in Connecticut. In addition, they will announce the founding of the Stamford Innovation Center. The new Center will help spur innovation and entrepreneurship in southwest Connecticut by incubating start-ups and helping accelerating their growth.
