THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY KEYNOTES CT AFL-CIO CONVENTION; TOURS CT FEMA HEADQUARTERS

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give the keynote address at the Connecticut AFL-CIO Constitutional Convention, where he will speak about the economy and his efforts to grow jobs in the state.

On Thursday afternoon, Governor Malloy will tour the recently opened FEMA Joint Field Office in Windsor to view the facility and speak with its staff. The office is FEMA's central headquarters in the state where they work to ensure the state's disaster assistance needs are met. The establishment of this office and its resources are a direct result of President Obama approving Governor Malloy's request for a Major Disaster Declaration as a result of Tropical Storm Irene.
