FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY ATTENDS BD ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION IN CANAAN; SPEAKS AT INAUGURATION OF UCONN PRESIDENT HERBST

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will visit BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) to attend the celebration of the company's 50th anniversary of its Canaan facility. BD is a leading global medical technology company that develops, manufactures and sells medical devices, instrument systems and reagents. The company employs about 350 workers at its Canaan facility, which opened in 1961.

On Friday afternoon, Governor Malloy will speak at University of Connecticut President Susan Herbst's inauguration ceremony on the campus in Storrs.
