WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY CONTINUES JOBS TOUR; VISITS WOMEN'S BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL AND FACTSET RESEARCH SYSTEMS

(HARTFORD, CT) - Continuing on his Jobs Tour, on Wednesday morning Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Department of Economic & Community Development Commissioner Catherine Smith will meet with members of the Women's Business Development Council in Stamford for a roundtable discussion. The WBDC addresses the growing need for entrepreneurial training and services for women, offering programs throughout various areas of the state in business development/management, financial education and personal effectiveness. Representatives from over 30 companies and organizations are anticipated at the meeting.

On Wednesday afternoon, Governor Malloy and Commissioner Smith will visit with the executives and staff of FactSet Research Systems, Inc. in Norwalk. FactSet, which has 641 employees at its global headquarters in Norwalk, is a provider of global financial and economic information, including fundamental financial data on tens of thousands of companies worldwide. The visit will allow Governor Malloy, Commissioner Smith and the company's executives an opportunity to discuss development strategy and overall business outlook.
