THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY ATTENDS CONNECT-ABILITY EMPLOYMENT SUMMIT; SPEAKS AT SEXUAL ASSAULT CONFERENCE; ADDRESSES CCM ANNUAL MEETING
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will speak at the Department of Social Services' sixth annual Connect-Ability Employment Summit for businesses and job-seekers with disabilities. The summit is expected to attract several hundred representatives of business, government, employment and support service providers, as well as job-seekers and their advocates.
Also on Thursday morning, Governor Malloy will speak at a conference in New Britain addressing sexual assault issues titled, "Systems in Sync: Responding to Sexual Assault in Connecticut." The event is sponsored by CONNSACS, Central Connecticut State University, Connecticut Police Chiefs Association, State of Connecticut Office of Victim Services, and the Police Officers Standards and Training Council.
Later Thursday morning, Governor Malloy will give closing remarks at the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities' annual meeting in Cromwell, where he will speak about his efforts to protect state aid for municipalities in the recently approved biennial budget.
