GOV. MALLOY HAILS SENATE PASSAGE OF BRADLEY AIRPORT BILL
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today hailed Senate passage of a bill making Bradley International Airport an economic driver in Connecticut.
"This bill is about jobs. By making our airports -- particularly Bradley International -- more attractive to new routes, new commerce, and new companies who may be considering a home in our state, this authority will help us generate new economic activity that will result in new jobs. We need to tap Bradley's full potential and help make it an economic driver in our state, unbridled by the bureaucracy that may slow its progress down. I'm pleased this bill has bipartisan, bicameral backing and I thank the Senate for their support-particularly Senators LeBeau, Maynard, Franz and Boucher -- and urge the House to pass it, as well."
