THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY ATTENDS GE SOLAR CARPORT EVENT; HONORS CONNECTICUT'S FALLEN SERVICE MEMBERS
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join Luis Ramírez, CEO of GE Energy Industrial Solutions, at the unveiling ceremony of the GE Electric Vehicle Solar Carport in Plainville. The carport is one of the largest solar-powered electric vehicle carport projects in North America, linking renewable energy with electric vehicles.
On Thursday afternoon, Governor Malloy will participate in the annual addendum ceremony of the Connecticut Wall of Honor, a tribute to the Connecticut men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces who lost their lives in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan since the 2001 terrorist attacks. Located in the Legislative Office Building concourse, portraits of seven Connecticut military members killed within the last year will be added during the ceremony to the 49 portraits currently on wall, and family members will have an opportunity to give remarks. Members of the public are invited to attend.
