THURSDAY: GOVERNOR MALLOY AT GROUND ZERO FOR WREATH LAYING CEREMONY WITH PRESIDENT OBAMA

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday, at the invitation of President Obama, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in a wreath laying ceremony at Ground Zero in New York City, where relatives and friends of victims, first responders, and other elected officials will join to honor the memory of those who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 attacks. Governor Malloy is attending to represent the people from Connecticut who died on 9/11, as well as their family members and loved ones.

Later in the afternoon, Governor Malloy will speak at the 14th Annual Destino Awards in Hartford. The ceremony, a gathering of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs and their corporate and nonprofit partners, will honor those who have mentored youth in their communities or who have furthered the accomplishments of Hispanics in business.
