FRIDAY: GOVERNOR MALLOY ATTENDS DYE HOUSE RIBBON CUTTING; ADDRESSES OLD SAYBROOK CHAMBER; PARTICIPATES IN FERRY CROSSING GROUNDBREAKING; SPEAKS AT WORLD YOUTH PEACE SUMMIT
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday at 10:30 a.m., Governor Dannel P. Malloy will attend and speak at the ribbon cutting ceremony for Dye House in Manchester, a housing development that has converted a 1914 brick factory building into affordable apartments.
At noon, Governor Malloy will be the keynote speaker at the Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce luncheon. The Governor has been visiting Chambers of Commerce across the state since January, where he has spoken about his efforts to improve the business climate in Connecticut and get our state's fiscal house in order to help create new jobs and keep the ones we have.
At 1:30, Governor Malloy will attend the groundbreaking ceremony for Ferry Crossing, a workforce housing development in Old Saybrook.
At 7:00, Governor Malloy will give the opening remarks at the World Youth Peace Summit in Hartford. His remarks will be followed by a lecture from Archbishop Desmond Tutu and a performance by saxophonist Branford Marsalis.
