WEDNESDAY: GOVERNOR MALLOY ATTENDS UCONN SCHOOL OF NURSING GROUNDBREAKING; RECEIVES AWARD AT BOSTON COLLEGE

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join officials from the University of Connecticut at a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Widmer Wing building addition at the UConn School of Nursing in Storrs. The new wing will be home to the school's enrollment and admission services, classrooms, and clinical simulation laboratories.

Later Wednesday evening, Governor Malloy will be honored by the College Democrats of Boston College with the 2011 Father Robert F. Drinan Award at a ceremony on the Boston College campus. The award is presented annually to a recipient who exemplifies Father Drinan's commitment to public service and social justice. Governor Malloy is a graduate of Boston College, where he received his undergraduate in 1977 and his Juris Doctor in 1980.
