TUESDAY: GOVERNOR MALLOY ATTENDS WORK ZONE SAFETY KICK-OFF EVENT IN NEWINGTON; HOLDS TOWN HALL IN NEW BRITAIN

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give remarks at a press conference in Newington to kick off Work Zone Safety Awareness Week, an annual campaign sponsored by the Department of Transportation, State Police, CT Police Chiefs Association and the utility companies to promote the safety of workers and motorists in roadway work zones.

On Tuesday evening, Governor Malloy will hold a town hall meeting in New Britain, the fifteenth stop in his statewide series of 17 town hall meetings to discuss the state's pressing economic and budgetary issues face-to-face with state residents.
