TODAY: FIRST LADY CATHY MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN WALK TO RAISE AWARENESS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT
(HARTFORD, CT) - This afternoon, First Lady Cathy Malloy will participate in the 2011 Sexual Assault Awareness Walk at the University of Bridgeport. Individuals, teams, organizations and families participating in the walk have been raising donations for the Center for Women and Families of Fairfield County, which provides a variety of programs and services to address the ongoing issues of domestic violence and sexual assault in their community.
The walk will begin with an opening ceremony at the University of Bridgeport's Student Center, proceed through Seaside Park, and then will be followed by a closing ceremony.
