GOVS. MALLOY AND DANIELS ALL IN FOR TONIGHT'S UCONN-BUTLER CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels have gone double or nothing on their friendly basketball rivalry, placing everything on the line for tonight's game between UConn and Butler.
"The Fighting Irish played a stellar game on Sunday, but I'm doubling down on the Huskies tonight," said Governor Malloy. "The Huskies will prevail over the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are a tough team, but with all of Connecticut behind the Huskies, I'm confident our guys will bring home the title."
The UConn women were upset by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in Sunday's Final Four game, 72-63. Governor Malloy and Governor Daniels each placed regional gourmet chocolate on the line-Munson's chocolate from the famed Connecticut shop, and South Bend chocolate from Indiana's favored specialty store.
The UConn Huskies and Butler University Bulldogs will play for the Championship title tonight at Reliant stadium . Tip-off is at 9:23 p.m.
