GOV. MALLOY ORDERS FLAGS RAISED TO FULL STAFF AT SUNSET
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy ordered that the Connecticut and U.S. flags be returned to full staff at sunset today.
The flags were lowered on March 31, 2011 in honor of Staff Sergeant Frank E. Adamski III, a 26 year old Connecticut native who was killed in action by small arms fire in Konar, Afghanistan. Staff Sergeant Adamski was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Staff Sergeant Adamski's memorial service was held today in Plainfield, his funeral will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on April 25th.
