TUESDAY: GOVERNOR MALLOY SPEAKS AT COMMENCEMENT FOR NEW CLASS OF CORRECTION OFFICERS; HOLDS TOWN HALL MEETING IN WATERBURY
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday afternoon, Governor Malloy will speak to graduates at the Department of Correction Pre-Service Graduation Ceremony for Training Class #248 in Cheshire. The ceremony marks the completion of a 10-week training academy for the class, which is made up of over 80 correction officers.
Later Tuesday evening, Governor Malloy will hold a town hall meeting in Waterbury, the fourth stop in his statewide series of 17 town hall meetings to discuss the state's pressing economic and budgetary issues face-to-face with state residents.
