GOVERNOR MALLOY ON PASSING OF GERALDINE FERRARO
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy released the following statement regarding the passing of Geraldine Ferraro.
"Geraldine Ferraro was an inspiration to women of all ages and political persuasions. Not only was she the first female Vice-Presidential candidate on a major-party ticket, but she was unafraid to speak her mind and voice her opinion on any number of issues. Her advocacy on behalf of the people she served serves as a good reminder to those of us in public service. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this difficult time."
