EMS Instructor Renewal of Certification

An EMS Instructor Renewal applicant must meet the following requirements:

    • Accrue 50 contact hours, to include:
      • 35 hours of teaching in OEMS approved courses, over at least 5 categories
      • 5 hours of attending OEMS approved continuing education for the EMSI
      • 10 hours of EITHER teaching or attending the above

Documentation Requirements:

  • Completed EMS Instructor Renewal application
  • Renewal applicants are no longer required to submit documentation of teaching hours or CEU.Maintain these records for inspection at the request of DPH.
