Darien Man Barred for Five Years from
Conducting Securities Business in Connecticut;
Assessed $1,500 Based on
Unregistered Investment Advisory Activity
On August 28, 2002, the Commissioner entered a Consent Order with respect to Anthony D. Cordellos of 17 Delafield Island Road, Darien, Connecticut. The Consent Order alleged that from at least December 2000 to January 2002, respondent Cordellos transacted business as an unregistered investment adviser in violation of Section 36b-6(c) of the Connecticut Uniform Securities Act. The Consent Order barred respondent Cordellos from transacting business as a broker-dealer, agent, investment adviser, or investment adviser agent in Connecticut for five years; directed that he cease and desist from violative conduct; and ordered that he pay $1,500 to the department. Of that amount, $1,000 constituted an administrative fine and $500 represented reimbursement for agency investigative costs.
