Aquatic Invasive Species Fee

Effective January 1, 2020, a $5.00 Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Fee will be collected on Connecticut vessel registration renewals.    

Collected funds will go into the Connecticut Lakes, Rivers and Ponds Preservation account. These funds will be used for grants involving the restoration and rehabilitation of lakes, rivers and ponds, treatment to control AIS and cyanobacteria and education and outreach programs to promote AIS awareness.
