DMV Values the Safety and Security of its Employees and Visitors

The Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) values the safety and security of its employees and all visitors to its service locations.

Threats, threatening behavior, or acts of violence against employees, visitors, guests, or other individuals by anyone anywhere in our workplace will not be tolerated.

The state of Connecticut has a zero tolerance policy for workplace violence under Executive Order No. 16 of 1999.    As a State of Connecticut Executive Branch agency, DMV is committed to providing a safe and secure environment to conduct all of its operations.

DMV will respond to and investigate all complaints in a timely manner and take any necessary action to protect its employees and all visitors.  Violations of this policy could lead to removal from a customer service office and possible criminal prosecution.
