I did not receive my renewal for my boat.
Call DMV at 860-263-5718 and DMV will gladly mail you a new invitation to renew or email the boating unit dmvMOD@ct.gov. In the subject line, enter BOAT, and the CT#.

 

I received a letter saying my check was received, but my registration cannot be renewed for the reasons below.  There are no reasons listed.

What if I received my invitation to renew my boat and there is a message that I need a Coast Guard Auxiliary Letter?

Please disregard this message send in your renewal payment your registration will be updated.

 

What if I received my renewal notice or final document, and there is a discrepancy with the make or vessel type?

Call DMV at 860-263-5718 and DMV will gladly make the correction and mail you a new invitation or final document assist you or email the boating unit dmvMOD@ct.gov. In the subject line, enter BOAT and the CT number.

 

What if I mailed in my renewal, but have not received my final document or decal?

If I did not receive my boat registration and sticker by the expiration date, can I use my boat?

No. If you have not received your final boat registration and sticker there may have been an issue with your renewal. Your boat registration may not be valid.  Call DMV at 860-263-5718 for assistance.

 

Is it true that if I own property tax on my vehicle I will not be allowed to register my new boat or renew my boat registration?

Yes. You must satisfy any outstanding property tax obligations before you can register or renew your boat registration.
