Obtaining Additional Dealer or Repairer Plates
For a Connecticut licensed Dealer or Repairer to obtain additional plates it is necessary to present to the Department of Motor Vehicles Dealers and Repairers Division the following items:

Request For Marker Plates (form K-6)

Used Car Dealers must submit copies of validated registration certificates (form H-13) and/or detailed transaction reports from the online registration system (one plate may be issued for every ten vehicles sold in a twelve month period).

Limited and General Repairers that have three (3) plates assigned to them may receive additional plates by submitting a letter which justifies the need.

Connecticut Special Financial Responsibility Insurance Certificate (form R1325D) listing coverage for the total number of plates that the licensee will have assigned to them.The insurance certificate is obtained from your Insurance Company.

Motorcycle Plate: $79

SX plates will be based on the weight
