                              STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST

                   IN DOUBLE FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH

On 6/13/09 Connecticut State Police initiated a motor accident investigation into a crash that occurred on Saturday 6/13/09 shortly after 2:15 a.m. involving an on duty Milford Police Cruiser and a civilian car on Rt. #1 near Dogwood Road in Orange.

At the request of the Orange Police Chief the State Police CARS (Collision Accident Reconstruction Squad) responded to the scene to conduct the investigation into the two car crash. CARS Unit Troopers gathered evidence, examined the scene, the vehicles and conducted an extensive investigation, gathering all facts and information related to the fatal crash. 

Upon conclusion of the State Police fatal accident investigation an arrest warrant application was prepared and submitted to Superior Court Ansonia Milford Judicial District for the arrest of Jason Anderson. The arrest warrant was issued by Superior court on 11/09/09.

     

On 11/10/09 at 2:30 p.m. Jason Anderson surrendered at State Police Troop-I in Bethany. Anderson was processed and released on a $250,000 non-surety bond to appear in Court GA #5 Derby on 11/24 /09.

Anderson was charged with two counts of Manslaughter second degree and one count of Reckless Driving. No additional arrests are anticipated.
