UPDATE/ARREST

 June 7, 2006-BANK ROBBERY

PUTNAM, CT.

               

On June 7, 2006 at 10:20am, the Connecticut State Police at Troop D received a report of a robbery alarm from the Westbank, Putnam branch, at 6 Providence Road Rt. 44 Putnam, CT. Troopers from Troop D responded and confirmed that the bank had been robbed. Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad from Troop D responded to conduct the investigation and process the crime scene. 

Investigation revealed that a white female subject, approximately 5’5” tall, 130 lbs, with light brown hair, entered the bank and approached a teller with a note demanding money. The teller gave the subject cash from the teller drawer and the subject fled from the bank in an easterly direction on Rt. 44. No one was injured in the robbery and no weapon was implied or displayed.

After an extensive investigation, with the assistance of the Salem Massachusetts Police Department, the Troy Illinois Police Department, the Rhode Island State Police, and members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Detectives from Troop D applied for an arrest warrant to arrest Brooke Beaulieu DOB 04/27/81, of 7 Orange St., Salem MA for her involvement in this crime.

On 05/05/08 at 10:35AM, Beaulieu was arrested by Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime, by arrest warrant for her involvement in this crime.  Beaulieu was transported from Federal Prison in Danbury CT, where she is serving a sentence for a conviction regarding a similar bank robbery which occurred in Troy, Illinois, and is currently being held in the York Correctional Facility, in Niantic, CT.  Beaulieu is being held on a $25,000.00 cash bond and is scheduled to appear at Danielson Superior Court, located at 120 School St., in Danielson, on 05/06/08, charged with Robbery in the Third Degree, and Larceny in the Third Degree.  More arrests are pending with this investigation.
